Village, No. 3 gathers a hillside settlement into an arrangement of softly painted geometric forms. Pale façades in chalky cream, stone and muted green appear to stack one above another, punctuated by dark windows and doorways, while a solitary palm rises through the centre of the composition.
There is a pleasing tension between the familiarity of the scene and the simplicity with which it has been painted. Architectural detail gives way to colour, proportion and repetition, allowing the village to feel both recognisable and quietly abstract.
